The Poughkeepsie Chapter of the Hudson Valley Folk Guild is pleased to be featuring Rich Newman in our monthly Open Mic on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 7:30pm.
Rich Newman is a songwriter and award-winning journalist from Ulster County, New York. He describes his musical style as “the country side of folk,” and his songs reveal a spiritual curiosity, a keen sensitivity to the joys and frustrations of human relationships, and a sly sense of humor. Rich’s songwriting influences include John Prine, Jerry Jeff Walker and John Gorka.

Open mic performances will be available to all. The Zoom meeting opens at 7 for signup, sound check, and socializing. The open mic begins at 7:30.
