The Poughkeepsie Chapter of the Hudson Valley Folk Guild
will host our monthly coffeehouse on
Saturday, January 18, 2025
at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
This month we are proud to be featuring Walter Ensor.
Walter Ensor was a native of the well-known Irish stronghold, Rockaway Beach, New York. Having moved up to Red Hook recently to spend more time with his granddaughter, he has become an active member of the Hudson Valley Bluegrass Association. With charming vocals and versatile guitar-playing, Walter is at the heart of the Celtic Cross sound. Walter hails from a family of musicians who have influenced his unique style and knowledge of music. Walter is also an accomplished solo performer and multi-instrumentalist as well as a session player of choice.
OPEN MIC
Open mic performances will be available for all.
Signup begins at 6:30 and open mic begins at 7:00.
The featured performance is expected to begin at approximately 8:00.
Cost of admission for this event is $7 ($6 for Folk Guild members and seniors).
