Kingston Chapter: Sharon Klein

Sharon Klein, who is an accomplished fingerstyle guitar player and singer songwriter is a favorite on the Hudson Valley folk and Americana music scene.  She is one third of the group MartinTullyKlein who have been together for seven years, and make their way around the Hudson Valley music circuit each year, playing such venues as the Rosendale Street Festival and Walkway Over the Hudson.    Sharon has been writing songs since the age of 17, having landed a music publishing deal with Burt Bachrach’s publishing company at age 19.  More recently,  as music coordinator for the Woodstock Invitational Luthier showcase for 11 years,  Sharon got to share the stage and play with some of the most iconic names in the music world such as John Sebastian, Steve Miller, Larry Campbell, Happy Traum, Jorma Kaukonen and many others.   She has traveled and toured in over 40 countries with her guitar and songs.   Sharon has opened shows for Mary Travers, Dar Williams, David Broza and others.   We are thrilled to have Sharon perform some new and familiar original songs as our featured artists at the Hudson Valley Folk Guild.
