Kingston Chapter: Lisa Dudley

November 7, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Lisa Dudley
Lisa Dudley

This month the Kingston Folk Guild is pleased and proud to present as our Featured Performer:
Lisa Dudley!

Lisa is blessed with a heart for music, and she is well-known to Folk Guild members.  Lisa joined us many years ago, after moving here from Tennessee to marry the “Magnificent Daniel Dudley”, as she likes to refer to him.

Lisa always says, “The Folk Guild is a safe space to try out new material!” and she has promised to debut a new song for us during her show this month.

Lisa has recorded five CDs over the course of her music career, and she believes in healing wounded hearts, one song at a time.  Her album Broken Purple Heart  was recorded live at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Kingston to raise money for Veterans.

Lisa Dudley has a passionate following of soldiers and veterans who say these songs help them to feel again.  With Ethan Campbell and Ed Kenny standing behind her, they “make a joyful noise!”

Open Mic:

Music starts at 7:30, but if you arrive at 7:00 you can spend some time catching up with friends, trading Zoom audio tips, and just generally enjoying the mellow Folk Guild vibe . . .

Pat Lamanna will be handling the Zoom controls once again, so if you’re a musician and you’re planning to perform, let Pat know as soon as you come in from the Waiting Room.  She’ll plunk you in the next available slot.  Everybody gets two songs or eight (8) minutes, whichever comes first.
