Kingston Chapter: Gordon Lightfoot Night

The Kingston Chapter of the Hudson Valley Folk Guild welcomes you to our
2023-2024 Coffeehouse Series
on Saturday, November 4, 2023
at the Unitarian Fellowship, 320 Sawkill Rd., Kingston.
This Is Gordon Lightfoot Night.
The open mic part of the evening will be as usual. In addition, our featured performance will consist of performances by our HVFG tribe performing Gordon Lightfoot songs. Please let me know if you are interested in participating. So far we have:
“Ode To Big Blue” by David Howell, parody of “Edmund Fitzgerald” by Don & Maureen Black, “That’s What You Get For Lovin Me” and “Saturday Clothes” by James Leo, “Early Morning Rain” by Andy Shapiro + Pat Lamanna
We have room for another song or two. If we don’t get another performer I would like to do “Race Among The Ruins” as a collaboration with interested performers. I could play guitar, bass, mandolin, or ukelele and sing. I will provide song sheets with chords for anyone who is interested in this. I’m looking forward to a fun night!
OPEN MIC
Open mic performances will be available for all.
Signup begins at 7pm and open mic begins at 7:30pm.
The featured performance is expected to begin at approximately 8:30.
Cost of admission for this event is $7 ($6 for Folk Guild members and seniors)
