DESCRIPTION:The Poughkeepsie Chapter of the Hudson Valley Folk Guild\nwill host our monthly coffeehouse on\nSaturday\, April 19\, 2025\nat the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Poughkeepsie\, N.Y.\nThis month we are proud to be featuring John Gavin.\n  \nJohn Gavin grew up in the Bronx and lived in Greenwich Village\, San Francisco\, Columbus Ohio and now Poughkeepsie. \nJoined the Folk Guild in 1987 and was Treasurer for a couple of years.\nPlayed on this stage and MCed a few shows.\nLife got good busy and I disappeared for 20.years.\nTaught “Dylan: the First Five Albums” and “James Joyce’s Ulysses” at Marist College Center for Lifetime Study.\nReappeared three years ago and am honored to be here tonight.\n  \n\nOPEN MIC\n \nOpen mic performances will be available for all.\nSignup begins at 6:30 and open mic begins at 7:00.\nThe featured performance is expected to begin at approximately 8:00. \nCost of admission for this event is $7 ($6 for Folk Guild members and seniors). \nQuestions?
