DESCRIPTION:The Poughkeepsie Chapter of the Hudson Valley Folk Guild\nwill host our monthly coffeehouse on\nSaturday\, September 20\, 2025\nat the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Poughkeepsie\, N.Y.\nThis month we are proud to be featuring John Schin.\n  \n\nJohn Schin is a singer songwriter from Dutchess County New York that has been performing his originals and eclectic covers throughout the Hudson Valley.  He has performed at various open mics\, farmers markets\, church events\, and has performed at the Hudson Valley Folk Guild’s 45th anniversary concert. \nJohn’s playing and music has been influenced by artists such as James Taylor\, Jackson Browne\, John Denver\, Joni Mitchell\, The Eagles\, CSN&Y and many others. \nHis songs tell stories. Some make you laugh\, some hit your heart\, and some make you think. \n\nOPEN MIC\n \nOpen mic performances will be available for all.\nSignup begins at 6:30 and open mic begins at 7:00.\nThe featured performance is expected to begin at approximately 8:00. \nCost of admission for this event is $7 ($6 for Folk Guild members and seniors). \nQuestions?
