DESCRIPTION:Elly Wininger is a New York Blues Hall of Fame inductee\, acoustic and slide guitarist\, and songwriter known for her roots in the Greenwich Village Folk and Blues scene. \nWininger was a regular on the Greenwich Village scene back in the day\, and even played the opening night at the legendary CBGB’s. She was inducted into the New York Blues Hall of Fame in 2014\, and her album The Blues Never End (2021) spent over four months in the top six albums on the Roots Music Report’s Acoustic Blues chart\, with several weeks at Number One. \nShe was a semifinalist in the 2023 International Blues Competition\, following a win in the Hudson Valley Blues Society Solo/Duo Challenge. \nBeyond performing\, Wininger has produced award-winning music documentaries for public radio and hosted radio shows.
