A regional performer for many years\, Linda will be joined for part of her set by her frequent singing partner\, Linda Bresnahan McCarthy. Together they are known for their tight intricate harmonies and will delight with some holiday favors. \n  \n  \n  \n\nJim Pospisil\n \nJim Pospisil\nJim Pospisil is a singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from the Hudson Valley whose songs are marked by well crafted\, sometimes quirky lyrics and themes from the personal to the profound. A mix of folk\, blues\, rock and more\, his performances on guitar\, mandolin\, flute and harmonica can be soft and subtle\, or wild and energetic. He blends it all with a wry sense of humor\, his goal is to make you laugh\, cry\, or think. Sometimes all at once. He performs cover songs as well\, featuring fresh and creative arrangements. Jim has just released his fourth album “Sleight Of Hand”\, his most varied and ambitious release to date. The songs examine the trials of love\, life and loss\, and the challenge to rise above it all.\n \n  \n  \n  \n\nIndigo\n \nIndigo\nIndigo is a trio featuring Terri Massardo on vocals\, Bob Bottjer on guitar\, and Steve Massardo on bass. They perform vintage blues and jazz standards.\nTerri and Steve Massardo have spent time in various musical ensembles for almost 30 years\, including Yankee Rose\, The Tennessee Virgins\, What Four\, The Jesse Janes\, and The Broad Band\, and currently have the distinction of being the 4th and 5th members of a band called Trio Mio. They made their local debut at the Hudson Valley Folk Guild in 1999. They have produced many concert events throughout the region since 2004\, and have done exhaustive research on live music throughout some of the Hudson Valley’s best bars and restaurants.\nBob Bottjer has never met a musical genre that he can’t play\, and his virtuosity on guitar and steel have got him in high demand around the region. His tasteful\, unobtrusive licks make everything sound better. \n  \n\nKurt Henry and Cheryl Lambert \nKurt Henry & Cheryl Lambert\nKurt Henry and Cheryl Lambert\, a dynamic guitar/harmonica duo\, always surprise and delight people with the diversity of their repertoire\, both covers and originals. Kurt’s popularity as a guitarist is due in part to the range of styles he displays\, while the duet taken as a whole–guitar\, harmonica\, percussion and harmony vocals–seems like more than two busy musicians\, making for a compelling performance. \n\nPat Lamanna\n \nPat Lamanna\nPat Lamanna has been writing and performing songs all her adult life. Her songs have been praised highly by Pete Seeger\, Peter Yarrow\, and others. They have a strong folk influence\, and cover issues such as peace\, religion and the environment. Pat was Sonny Ochs’ pick to perform in the Folk DJ Showcase at the 2012 conference of the Northeast Regional Folk Alliance. One of her songs\, “Peace Pilgrim\,” is featured in part on Pete Seeger’s Grammy-nominated album\, “The Storm King.” She has three solo albums: “Full Circle” (2009); “Do I Know My Song Well Enough to Start Singing Yet?” (2012); and “Something Beautiful (2017). She is a 2019 winner of the South Florida Folk Festival Songwriting Contest. \n\nDeb Martin\n \nDeb Martin\nAn expressive\, euphonic voice\, a steady guitar\, a mood\, and perhaps a memory. Deb Martin plays originals and covers with soulful\, rich\, and sometimes even playful vocals. Her originals focus on women’s stories\, family\, politics and love. An entertainer at heart\, she performs a variety of covers “her way” as she interacts with her audiences. You can find her at local venues and fairs as a solo act\, and as a part of the trio\, MartinTullyKlein. \n\nDon and Maureen Black\n \nDon and Maureen Black\nDon and Maureen Black began taking guitar lessons with Helen Avakian in September of 2008. They first played together in public in January 2013 under the name “Never Too Late”. Since then they have played together in a variety of local venues\, most notably in the “Teachers”-themed John Street Jam\, and in a Lou Reed tribute in Nyack. They play regularly at the Hudson Valley Folk Guild\, the Hyde Park Library\, the High Falls Café\, and at Richard’s Rhinecliff Acoustic Show at Morton Library. They enjoy playing humorous songs and\, most especially\, songs written by local artists. \n\nJohn Schin\n \nJohn Schin\nJohn Schin is a singer songwriter from Pawling New York. He has been performing original songs and eclectic covers at open mics throughout the Hudson valley. His songs tell stories. Some make you laugh\, some hit your heart\, some make you think. \n\nJames Leo\n \nJames Leo\nJames Leo\, a native of Bensonhurst\, Brooklyn\, experienced a life-changing moment in 1970 when he encountered the music of Sam “Lightin” Hopkins. Inspired by the mastery and emotive power of Hopkins’ blues\, James decided to learn to play the guitar\, attempting to echo the unique sounds and feelings produced by the acclaimed bluesman.\nAs he embarked on his musical journey\, James expanded his influences to include Robert Johnson and Django Reinhardt\, the latter known for his contributions to gypsy jazz. Further enhancing his skills\, he had the opportunity to study under the guidance of the late Danny Kalb and Frank Christian\, both prominent figures in the Greenwich Village music scene. He is currently studying with Mike Dowling and will forever be a “student of the guitar.” \n\nAndy Shapiro \nAndy Shapiro\nAndy has performed in a variety of bands since 1968 including blues\, soul\, country\, rock\, and original music. For the last 5 years he has been focusing on writing songs and performing as a singer songwriter in the Hudson Valley and has released his first cd: “Find My Way Home” which received Honorable Mention in the 14th Annual emPower Posi Music Awards. He is now working on his second cd with songs of struggle and hope.
