SUMMARY:Rock Tavern Chapter:  Don and Maureen Black
DESCRIPTION:The Rock Tavern Chapter of the Hudson Valley Folk Guild is pleased to be featuring Don and Maureen Black. \n~~~~~\n\nDon and Maureen Black began taking guitar lessons with Helen Avakian in September of 2008. They first played together in public in January 2013 under the name “Never Too Late”. Since then they have played together in a variety of local venues\, most notably in the “Teachers”-themed John Street Jam\, and in a Lou Reed tribute in Nyack.  They play regularly at the Hudson Valley Folk Guild\, the Hyde Park Library\, the High Falls Café\, and at Richard’s Rhinecliff Acoustic Show at Morton Library.  They enjoy playing humorous songs and\, most especially\, songs written by local artists. \n\n~~~~~\n\nOpen mic performances will be available to all. Cost of admission for this event is $7 ($6 for Folk Guild members and seniors).  Signup begins at 7 and open mic begins at 7:30.  The featured performance is expected to begin at approximately 8:30. \nThe Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Rock Tavern is located in the Town of New Windsor at 9 Vance Road\, Rock Tavern\, NY\, off Route 207\, 3.4 miles west of Rte 300; or take I-84 to Exit 5A\, Rte 747 south to Rte 207\, make a right and take the second left. \nFor more information contact the President of the Rock Tavern Chapter of the Hudson Valley Folk Guild at HVFGRockTavern@hudsonvalleyfolkguild.org.
