SUMMARY:Twilight Music in the Park: Grampa Joe’s Washboard Band
DESCRIPTION:Grampa Joe’s Washboard Band was formed in 2017. The band is made up of Grampa Joe Cardella on vocals and washboard\, Vince Sauter on vocals and stand-up fretless bass\, and Wayne Chadwell on vocals and 6-string high-strung banjo. All three members have played in bands and as individuals since they were teenagers and all three play other instruments and have other musical interests as well.  \nThe style of music is difficult to describe so they simply call it “New Orleans style jazz\, blues\, string band\, jug band\, washboard band music”. The music choices are intended to offer something interestingly different from mainstream and are intended to offer surprises and humor. \n  \n  \n\n\n\n  \n  \n \n\nCome enjoy free live music from the Hudson Valley Folk Guild at the Walkway Over the Hudson this summer!  \nNew York State Office of Parks\, Recreation and Historic Preservation announces a free music series\, “ Twilight Music in the Parks\,” featuring local folk music from Hudson Valley Folk Guild at the Walkway Over the Hudson. Performances are every Thursday night from 6pm – 7pm at the Walkway Ulster Visitor Center (Highland) now through September 1. \nConcerts are free and open to the public.\nFeel free to bring a lawn chair and stay awhile.\nConcerts are weather permitting.
