Rock Tavern Chapter: Us! with Judy Kass, Amy Soucy, & Glen Roethel

The Rock Tavern Chapter of the Hudson Valley Folk Guild
will host our monthly coffeehouse on
Saturday, March 14, 2026.
This month we are proud to be featuring Us!
with Judy Kass, Amy Soucy, & Glen Roethel.
Us!, comprised of singer-songwriters Glen Roethel, Judy Kass, and Amy Soucy happened when three musical seekers joined their eclectic talents and influences to write songs encouraging positive change, unity, and dialogue. The trio spices their message-driven compositions with luscious harmonies, robust melodies, and unexpected twists and turns. The Us! co-write, “Too Much Crying” garnered a Gold Award in the Open Category of the 36th Mid-Atlantic Song Contest, and “Elevator Speech” was a Finalist there in 2024. Us!’s Earth-loving song, “We’ll Get There” was honored with a Posi Award at 17th emPower Music Festival, too! Currently, Us! is in the studio working on its first album with an anticipated release in 2026.
Judy Kass is an award-winning songwriter based in the NY Hudson Valley. She draws in her audience with soulful vocals, no-nonsense lyrical storytelling and genre-bending exploration of guitar and piano. Growing up in a family of musicians, Judy began playing at an early age moving from her classical piano training to accompanying the songs she soon started to write on both keyboard and guitar. Judy’s 2014 debut album, “Better Things” and her 2016 CD, “Beyond the Ash and Steel” both received notable airplay, appearing on the Folk DJ List of Top Albums for those years. Her latest solo album release, “New Skin debuted at #4 on the Folk Alliance Top Albums Chart for July, 2025.www.judykass.com
Amy Soucy is a Beacon, NY-based contemporary folk chanteuse who writes evocative songs exploring the kaleidoscope of human experience (dreams, longing, forgiveness, and healing) and sings them in a voice that’s been called “powerful,” “comforting,” and “angelic.” In 2016, she was selected for a coveted spot in the Emerging Artist Showcase at Falcon Ridge Folk Festival and took home first prize in the CT Folk Songwriting Competition. www.amysoucymusic.com
Glen Roethel‘s baritone-tenor voice and melodic acoustic guitar stylings light up stages solo and in ensemble with vocal marvels such as Sloan Wainwright, Gathering Time (harmony trio [formerly]), and new trio, Us!. An award-winning songwriter, Glen has electrified juried showcases for Folk Alliance, S.M.A.F., Falcon Ridge Folk, Cape May Singer-Songwriter, and emPower Music & Arts PosiFest with songs that are memoirs, anecdotes, tender love songs, Earth tributes, and anthemic calls for unity and empowerment. www.glenroethel.com
