Rock Tavern Chapter: Ethan Campbell
February 12, 2022 @ 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm
The Rock Tavern Chapter of the Hudson Valley Folk Guild is pleased to be featuring Ethan Campbell.
Ethan Campbell cut his musical teeth on Rock’n’Roll, playing in bands on the NYC Punk scene in the mid-‘70s. Having mellowed (slightly) with age, he now performs solo acoustic, with a diverse repertoire of mostly ’60s and ’70s Classics: Jackson Brown, Eagles, The Band, Tom Petty, Allman Brothers, Elvis, Springsteen, et al., along with the occasional original composition, often in a mystical or contemplative vein.
Ethan’s musical mission is to channel the energy and unique vibe of the great original recordings of the ‘60s and ‘70s. After his performances, listeners have been heard to mutter things like, “He does Tom Petty better than Tom Petty!” Ethan is too modest to agree, but politely accepts all complements.
Fans of the Golden Age of Rock will thoroughly enjoy Ethan’s renditions of songs that range from sentimental ballads to up-tempo rockers.
