Poughkeepsie Chapter: Tom Heany

The Poughkeepsie Chapter of the Hudson Valley Folk Guild

will host our monthly coffeehouse on

Saturday, December 16, 2023

at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

 

This month we are proud to be featuring Tom Heany.


Tom Heany is a Hudson Valley songwriter, singer and guitarist. His songs fall somewhere between John Prine and George Gershwin. Tom has released two albums of songs:  Reservoir and Dogs in the Water(EP), and one of guitar instrumentalscalled Home at LastHe  has also written two song suites: Wonders of Westchester and If I Had God’s Ear, and is at work on a third, called Wingmen. He plays guitar like Mississippi John Hurt and sings like an old car.


OPEN MIC

Open mic performances will be available for all.
Signup begins at 7 and open mic begins at 7:30.
The featured performance is expected to begin at approximately 8:30.

Cost of admission for this event is $7 ($6 for Folk Guild members and seniors)
