will host our monthly coffeehouse on
Saturday, April 20, 2024
at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
This month we are proud to be featuring Mike Burns.
The Buzz has been building for some time about Mike Burns, with a delightfully smooth voice and a big talent to match. Mike is a singer/songwriter and acoustic flat-picking guitarist from Purdys, New York. A veteran of the Hudson Valley music scene, he has been playing and singing for more than 25 years – hardly a newcomer. When listening to Mike Burns, the almost universal response of the audience is great surprise at the startlingly clear, soft and beautiful tenor/baritone voice of this singer.
Mike plays locally and also runs the Westchester Bluegrass Club in Purdys, N.Y.
OPEN MIC
Open mic performances will be available for all.
Signup begins at 7 and open mic begins at 7:30.
The featured performance is expected to begin at approximately 8:30.
Cost of admission for this event is $7 ($6 for Folk Guild members and seniors)
