Poughkeepsie Chapter: Mary Pazienza

September 16, 2023 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

The Poughkeepsie Chapter of the Hudson Valley Folk Guild

will host our monthly coffeehouse on

Saturday, September 16, 2023

at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

This month we are proud to be featuring Mary Pazienza.

Mary Pazienza started playing guitar after her retirement.  A lot has happened for Mary creatively and musically during this time. She started writing songs and has published two volumes of Lyric Poems, Livin’ the Dream and Watercolors.   Her songs are introspective, covering topics such as relationships, mental health, social justice and food.   The creative process has enhanced Mary’s life in so many ways,  including rediscovering the joy of singing.   Early musical influences include Fleetwood Mac, Bob Dylan and Joan Baez.
Mary has been playing originals and covers at open mics including the Hudson Valley Folk Guild.  Most recently, Mary played at the Poughkeepsie Porchfest.  She attended SummerSongs songwriter’s retreat this year for the first time.

Open mic performances will be available for all.
Signup begins at 7 and open mic begins at 7:30.
The featured performance is expected to begin at approximately 8:30.

Cost of admission for this event is $7 ($6 for Folk Guild members and seniors)
