Poughkeepsie Chapter: John Schin
The Poughkeepsie Chapter of the Hudson Valley Folk Guild
will host our monthly coffeehouse on
Saturday, September 20, 2025
at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
This month we are proud to be featuring John Schin.
John Schin is a singer songwriter from Dutchess County New York that has been performing his originals and eclectic covers throughout the Hudson Valley. He has performed at various open mics, farmers markets, church events, and has performed at the Hudson Valley Folk Guild’s 45th anniversary concert.
John’s playing and music has been influenced by artists such as James Taylor, Jackson Browne, John Denver, Joni Mitchell, The Eagles, CSN&Y and many others.
His songs tell stories. Some make you laugh, some hit your heart, and some make you think.
OPEN MIC
Open mic performances will be available for all.
Signup begins at 6:30 and open mic begins at 7:00.
The featured performance is expected to begin at approximately 8:00.
Cost of admission for this event is $7 ($6 for Folk Guild members and seniors).
