The Poughkeepsie Chapter of the Hudson Valley Folk Guild
will host our monthly coffeehouse on
Saturday, February 15, 2025
at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
This month we are proud to be featuring Brian Sullivan.
Brian bought his first guitar after graduating high school. His first song came a few years later. After some time of playing music with friends, he started going to the Folk Guild Coffeehouse in Patterson back in the 1900s.
Brian soon played his first open mics there and at the Good News Coffeehouse run by Don Lombardi. Realizing that no one was seriously injured after his first open-mics, Brian continued playing and writing songs. He has played at coffeehouses in NY and CT, but the Hudson Valley Folk Guild is home.
OPEN MIC
Open mic performances will be available for all.
Signup begins at 6:30 and open mic begins at 7:00.
The featured performance is expected to begin at approximately 8:00.
Cost of admission for this event is $7 ($6 for Folk Guild members and seniors).
