Open Mic via Zoom: Maggie Rothwell

September 28 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Singer/songwriter/guitarist Maggie Rothwell is originally from Pleasantville, NY but chose Red Hook, NY as her home. She earned her Bachelor’s of Music Education degree with a concentration in voice from Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam. Maggie has enjoyed careers as a public school music teacher and as a musician in therapeutic recreation departments of several nursing homes.

Maggie currently performs locally and also runs a nationwide virtual open mic and songwriting group for Senior Planet from AARP. With a repertoire of over 1,000 cover songs and numerous originals, Maggie has eclectic taste in music and enjoys performing a wide variety of styles. She lets her music do the talking for her and is happiest when she has a guitar in her hands and is singing songs that her audience can relate to and sing along with! Maggie is happily married with 2 grown children who are often the inspiration for her original songs.
