Singer/songwriter and guitarist Maggie Rothwell is originally from Pleasantville, NY in Westchester County, but now lives in Red Hook, NY in the Hudson Valley. Maggie earned her Bachelor’s of Music Education degree with a concentration in voice from Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam. Maggie enjoyed being an elementary school music teacher and then became a musician for therapeutic recreation departments in nursing homes. She also runs a virtual open mic every Thursday night, and a monthly virtual songwriting forum.
With a repertoire of over 1,000 cover songs and numerous originals, Maggie has eclectic taste in music and enjoys performing a wide variety of styles. She’s happiest when she has a guitar in her hands and is singing songs that her audience can relate to and sing along with! Maggie is happily married with 2 grown children who are often the inspiration for her original songs.
