Mat Kobalkin is a Hudson Valley singer/songwriter known for his quirky improvisation and soulful, Bluesy guitar work.
Before arriving on the shores of the Hudson River, Mat’s musical journey took him from living and writing in the mountains of Colorado, to performing with his avant garde band No Tourist Attraction in Denver clubs, and eventually to the Lower East Side Post-Punk scene in 1980s Manhattan.
Mat has worked in a broad range of musical styles, from Rock to Blues to Avant Garde, to the present day as an acoustic singer/songwriter. Mat’s performances are filled with musical and lyrical surprises, so you will not want to miss his Folk Guild Feature set!
