Hudson Valley Folk Guild 2020 Frank S. Tetler Legacy Scholarship Application

In 2016, the Folk Guild established an annual scholarship to encourage area students to continue their studies to further develop their musical talents. The following year, this award was designated “The Frank S. Tetler Legacy Award” to honor the memory of a longtime member of the Folk Guild who epitomized our ideals and mission by collaborating with and encouraging others to appreciate acoustic music, contributing to the needs of the community with his musical talents, and helping to perpetuate and preserve our folk heritage.

This year, we will be offering a $1000 scholarship to a student musician pursuing a degree in music and who either resides in, or attends a college or university in, Dutchess, Orange, or Ulster Counties of New York State.
