The HVFG is a member-run, not-for-profit organization dedicated to generating and maintaining interest in Folk Music. It provides opportunities for members to develop performance skills through community service and promotes Folk Music through various publications and events.

Our Chapters
Each chapter hosts open mic coffeehouses with a featured performer.

1st Saturday of each month from September to June. Sign-ups at 6:30. Show starts at 7:00.

Kingston Chapter moving to New Paltz on the 4th Saturday of each month.
Posted 12/10/2025: The Kingston Chapter Coffeehouse has now moved and become the Hudson Valley Folk Guild New Paltz Chapter Coffeehouse. Sharon Klein is the new Chapter President with Andy Shapiro as the Chapter Treasurer. New location: Redeemer Lutheran Church, 90 NY Route 32, New Paltz, NY 12561. The New Paltz Chapter will meet on the 4th Saturday of each month beginning on January 24, 2026. Sign up 6:30pm; music starts at 7:00pm.
Open Mic Zoom now on the 1st Saturday
Posted 12/10/2025: The Open Mic Zoom will move from the 4th Saturday to the 1st Saturday beginning on January 3, 2026.
